2023 Highlights
As 2023 comes to an end, we summarized some of key activities and accomplishments, aligned with WBCAT Mission “To work collaboratively with the local government, business and residents to inspire climate change mitigation and adaptation.”
… with the local government:
- Numerous meetings and communications with the Town Council and Staff
- Influenced the Term of Council Priorities Green Pillar strategic initiatives
- Influenced the creation of the Climate Action Advisory Committee
- Influenced the installation of EV charging stations at several town facilities
- Submitted a response to the Comprehensive Zoning By-Law Review
- Met with MPP Brian Saunderson

- Awarded 13 Green Certificates to businesses who demonstrated commitment to eco-friendly and sustainable business practices
