‘Simple direct action’: Wasaga Beach Climate Action Team wants you to think about the environment during election

Wasaga Beach Climate Action Team members are looking for the municipal candidates to respond to three important questions on their commitment to mitigating the town’s impact on climate change.

When would-be politicians knock on your door this fall, the Wasaga Beach Climate Action Team wants you to keep the environment top of mind when you question the candidates on their priorities for the next four years.

The climate action team — a group of volunteers dedicated to educating the community, and working with the decision-makers, on environmental issues — sent out three questions to all municipal candidates asking for their opinion on three questions.

“We wanted to make it very simple, with stuff that is a very simple direct action,” said team member Gerard Dusastre.
