Race for mayor heats up as New Tecumseth Coun. Donna Jebb officially registers
Ward 5 Coun. Donna Jebb is running for mayor in the 2022 municipal election.

Another experienced member of New Tecumseth council has her eyes on leading the next term of council.
Ward 5 Donna Jebb, who has served on council for 11 years, has registered to run for mayor in the Oct. 24 municipal election.
Jebb, a poultry farmer, has been the Ward 5 councillor during most of her time on council, but she did serve as deputy mayor for about a year during the 2014-2018 term.
Jebb was appointed to the position in October 2017 after the elected deputy mayor Jamie Smith died that summer.
Jebb won the appointment in a 5-4 vote over then Ward 6 Coun. Richard Norcross.
