Instead of cutting a Christmas tree this year, why not grow one? Choose to go green this holiday season with Living Green Barrie’s (LG) Holiday Tree Fundraiser. LG is selling live, potted holiday trees to raise funds for their 10,000 Trees for Barrie campaign.

The campaign aims to plant 10,000 native trees in Barrie to increase our urban forest and make Barrie more resilient to climate change. So far, LG has planted almost 3,000 trees.

The live, potted holiday trees make beautiful porch decorations that can be left outside all winter. The trees can also be brought inside and enjoyed for up to one week. In the spring, these trees can be planted in your yard, or brought to one of Living Green Barrie’s spring community tree plantings.

This year, there are even more options to choose from including white spruce, white pine, and balsam fir in various sizes with free, contactless delivery to Barrie.
