Important ERRC Hearing

We’re touching base today to remind you of the LPAT hearing beginning tomorrow regarding the Environmental Resource Recovery Centre.

We are extremely fortunate to have an amazing legal team representing the interests of the Friends of Simcoe Forests and the concerned citizens of Simcoe County. As a result of CELA’s (Canadian Environmental Law Association) valiant efforts, we had a big win in Divisional Court in April of this year. This win means our experts will have the opportunity to present evidence supporting the importance of this ‘Significant Woodlot’ (The Freele Forest) designated by the County of Simcoe as ‘Greenland’s’.

The video hearing for part 1 of the hearing will begin on September 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. and will continue on September 15, 17 and 20-24 at 10:00 a.m. If all of the evidence from each of the Parties is not completed in Part 1, the video hearing for Part 2 will begin on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.
