As deputy mayor, I will bring considerable experience to the table. I served three consecutive terms on council, spent a dozen years in local media covering regional councils and politics, and two decades serving on Collingwood’s boards and committees. I am on Simcoe County’s library, museum and archives board (I attend county meetings monthly), and on the South Georgian Bay source water protection committee.
I’m a contributor to Municipal World as feature writer and book author on municipal issues. For a decade I owned and operated a successful local retail business, which taught me financial management and budgeting. I am an author of four published books, with decades of experience in media and publishing sectors. I manage communications for a non-profit association that advocates for municipal water issues.
