Orillia chamber to host all-candidates nights

Five events scheduled

The Orillia and District Chamber of Commerce will host a series of all-candidates nights at city hall in advance of the municipal election.

Candidates vying to represent Ward 1 will gather in the council chamber on Sept. 25.

Ward 2 candidates will have their say Sep. 26, with Ward 3 and 4 candidates following on Sept. 27 and Oct. 2, respectively.

The night for mayoral and trustee candidates is Oct. 3.

All meetings start at 6:30 p.m.

“This is your chance to find out who is the best candidate for you,” said Allan Lafontaine, the chamber’s managing director.

Candidates will answer questions from the media, the chamber and the Lakelands Association of Realtors.

With all remaining time, questions will be open to chamber members
