After a decades-long campaign by Grassy Narrows activists, this year the Ontario government set aside $85 million to clean up the English-Wabigoon river system, which was contaminated with 9 tonnes of mercury in the 1960s by a paper mill. Yet at this time, little has been done for the people of Grassy Narrows who have experienced decades of mercury poisoning. Come to this event to hear from Grassy Narrows activists about their struggle for mercury justice, and how you can support it.
