Nelson/Lafarge Aggregates has applied for a licence to extract a million tons of sand and gravel from below the established water table on 180 acres in the middle of our community on a property with a highly vulnerable aquifer and a river and a creek running through it.
OMB pre-hearing:
Friday June 30
Adj-Tos municipal office, 7855 30th Sideroad
The final 4-week OMB hearing will begin on Tuesday November 7
If this pit is approved it will change our community forever
