Tuesday September 20: County hosts organics facility drop-in at Museum

Questions regarding the various procurement options for ownership and operation of the organics processing facility can be discussed further with the County’s consultant, and Solid Waste Management staff, during public drop-in sessions being held on September 20, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Simcoe County Museum. Please note that no appointment is required for the drop-in sessions; however, some wait times to speak with representatives from the County may occur.

In March 2016, County Council approved the location for the OPF and MMF at 2976 Horseshoe Valley Road West, Springwater, Ontario. A series of site-specific studies are currently underway related to Planning applications. Procurement of the OPF will be initiated this fall.
