News release from Springwater Township

Residents now have the opportunity to keep up with what’s happening at Springwater Council from the comfort of their own home.

Springwater will begin live web streaming Council meetings from the Township website beginning with the July 20 meeting at 6:30 p.m. The new initiative aims to make local Government more accessible to the citizens of Springwater.

“This new initiative is another step taken to increase our transparency and openness,” says Mayor Bill French. “We understand that not everyone is able to make it out to the meetings, but the new streaming service will allow residents to remain engaged and aware of Township business.”

Residents are encouraged to visit www.springwater.ca/live and watch the Council meeting in real time on July 20 at 6:30 p.m. The webcast can also be accessed by visiting www.springwater.ca, clicking on the Governance tab and then selecting Council Meeting Live Webcast from the dropdown menu.

The Township is accepting feedback on the new streaming service; comments can be submitted to the Corporate Services Department at 705-728-4784 Ext. 2015 or info@springwater.ca.
