Beeton clearcut on hold – county council to resume hearing May 12
Beeton residents Scott Orr, Carolyn Milne, Stephanie MacLellan and Nicole Cox were among the objectors at a hearing today into a stop work order issued last month to halt the clear cutting of the woodland north of Beeton. After hearing from a dozen objectors as well as lawyers representing property owners Tecumseth Estates and the Town of New Tecumseth, Simcoe County Council went into closed session from which they emerged a short time later to announce that the stop work order will remain in effect until the hearing resumes May 12.
