Archer appointed Springwater director of public works

New release from Springwater Township

The Township of Springwater is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Mark Archer as the Director of Public Works, effective as of March 23.

Raised in Elmvale, Mr. Archer joined the Township of Springwater as the Deputy Director of Public Works in 2005. He brings a wealth of industry knowledge and prior to his employment with Springwater, he held positions with Champion Road Machinery, Tiny Township and Ainley and Associates Ltd.

Mr. Archer holds a diploma in Civil Engineering from Georgian College and has been a certified Civil Engineering Technologist since 1982.

As Director of Public Works, he will be responsible for overseeing the construction and maintenance of all Township roads, ditches and street lights. The Public Works Department also oversees the operation of the water and sewer systems in Elmvale.

“On behalf of Council and staff, I would like to congratulate Mark on his promotion to Director of Public Works,” says Mayor Bill French. “His experience and knowledge will be a tremendous asset to the Township of Springwater Senior Management Team.”
