MIDLAND – Policing easily topped the Town of Midland’s 2015 budget with a 2.6-per-cent increase.
That moves funding up to about $4.9 million.
The next highest boost went to the planning and development department, up 1.8 per cent, pushing it to about $360,000.
The hike for policing “isn’t too bad” when compared to other municipalities, said town CAO Carolyn Tripp.
“Emergency services have had struggled with increases for sure,” she said.
