Friday March 27: Very important Conservation Authority meeting

On Friday March 27th, the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority’s (LSRCA) board of directors will be hearing deputations from the public with respect to their draft new Watershed Development Guidelines, which prohibit the building of subdivisions on provincially significant wetlands (PSWs).
The meeting runs from 9am to noon and is held at the LSRCA Office, 120 Bayview Parkway, Newmarket
The LSRCA’s proposal to prohibit subdivisions on PSWs has recently been endorsed by the Town of Georgina, Ontario Nature, the David Suzuki Foundation, and Ducks Unlimited.

What you can do
Please attend the LSRCA board meeting on Friday, March 27th to make a deputation supporting the new draft guidelines or to support others making submissions on behalf of Lake Simcoe and its wetlands.
