From Peter Anderson Tiny Township

Tiny Township is considering an official plan and zoning amendment to allow Beamish Construction limited to expand its existing aggregate operation on part lot 79 and 80 (40 Darby Road ) North to 2 Darby Road. To my knowledge no one has involved the Severn Sound Environmental Association to complete scientific research into Waverley Uplands and Water movement. This Area looks to be a large gravel extraction opportunity by both Sarjents and Beamish Construction – the word mega-quarry comes to mind if this is allowed to continue.

Council meeting will be held Monday January 26th 2015 at 6.00 pm, residents are encouraged to attend and voice your concerns. This is an oppertunity to stop any further development pending involvement of the Severn Sound Environmental Association to do a indepth scientific study to understand the effects on the water shed and the Alliston Aquafier which is in close proximity.
