Peter M. Rosenthal
Peter is a professor of mathematics and also adjunct professor of law at the University of Toronto. He was called to the bar in 1992. He is particularly interested in police matters, the homeless and anti-war issues. He has participated in a number of inquests, royal commissions, and has argued cases at all levels, including the Supreme Court of Canada. He is well known for his pro-bono work on behalf of the Ontario Coalition Against Poverty (OCAP).
Peter has defended 89-year-old census resister Audrey Tobias, G20 protesters, some of Dudley George’s siblings at Ipperwash where police shot and killed an unarmed George in a violent clash. We were very grateful for Peter’s assistance as part of the legal team that represented Vicki Monague.
