Landowners, business owners, realtors, developers and all members of the public in the Nottawasaga Valley watershed are urged to learn more about updates to regulation mapping
NVCA release – posted September 29 2013
Members of the public are invited to attend an open house hosted by the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority (NVCA) to learn about updates that have been made the NVCA’s regulatory maps.

Topic:           Updated Regulation Mapping
Location:     NVCA Administration Office
Tiffin Centre for Conservation, 8195 8th Line Utopia, ON
Date:            Thursday, October 10th, 2013
Times:          drop-in sessions from 1-4 p.m. & 6-9 p.m.
The open house will allow members of the public to view and provide comments on the updated mapping, as well as to learn about the areas regulated by the NVCA, and to find out more about activities within those areas that require written approval from the NVCA. Staff members will be able to look up your property and advise you if any regulations apply to all or parts of your property.
What’s changed?
The regulation (the Development, Interference with Wetlands and Alteration to Shorelines and Watercourses Regulation) remains the same, but the NVCA has updated the maps showing where the regulations apply based on the following:

refined floodplain models
refined wetland mapping
refined watercourse mapping
