What is a Curb Swap?
A Curb Swap provides residents an opportunity to “give away” items that no longer have use to them, but may be useful to others.

Why participate in a Curb Swap?
A Curb Swap is a great way for items, such as dressers, bikes or couches to have a renewed use elsewhere, and is also a great way to divert items from being land filled before their time.
On September 14, 2013 from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, you may place items on the boulevard that are reusable and in good?condition. Curb Swap items MUST be marked with a sign simply stating “CURB SWAP”. Passersbys (shoppers) are invited to freely take items marked with CURB SWAP. Use Twitter to advertise your Curb Swap item by using the following format:  @springwatertwp #CurbSwap item description, street name/location. For example:  @springwatertwp #CurbSwap adult mountain bike, Peter Street, Elmvale.
Shoppers are reminded that if it’s not marked as a CURB SWAP item, it’s not to be taken. Immediately after 6:00 pm on September 14, 2013, all Curb Swap items are to be removed from the curb by the original owners.
The Curb Swap is a reuse recycle initiative, it is not meant for garbage, hazardous or derelict items that should be taken to the landfill.
All items must be in good condition for reuse.
Curb Swap participants are reminded to shop with caution, drive safely, watch for children, and respect items that are private property not marked with a CURB SWAP sign. Once an item is taken, it becomes the property of the shopper.
Please read the Terms and Conditions (PDF) (link on the township’s website) before participating.
