Council supports movement to combat tree-killing bug

PENETANGUISHENE – Penetanguishene council has voiced support for a program to get help for municipalities to tackle the threat of the emerald ash borer.
The Asian beetle has left a trail of dead and dying ash trees across southern Ontario. It is notoriously troublesome to detect, boasts a 99 per cent kill rate, and expands its territory by about a kilometre each year. Read more…
