Are you interested in the Environmental Assessment for the Midhurst Secondary Plan (MSP)?
The first part of the Environmental Assessment (EA) for the MSP was completed in July 2009 and now the Township is poised to complete the EA. The EA is a critical part of the process of moving the MSP forward to completion. One major problem it will try to solve is how to dump millions of litres of effluent into Willow Creek without an impact on the Creek or on the Minesing Wetlands.  I’m sure you may have questions of your own to ask regarding this development’s potential impact on the environment.
Springwater Township is hosting an Open House to describe the steps to complete the EA this Wednesday (May 29) from 6:30 – 9:00 pm at the Township Office, 2231 Nursery Road, Minesing
The Open House will be an informal drop-in format during which time display boards from the first part of the assessment will be available. As well, representatives of the Project Team will be available to answer individual question in a one-on-one format.  We strongly believe that we need to demonstrate to council and township staff that the MSP is still on the forefront of our minds and that we are fully against the plan.  We are hoping that you may find time to attend the open house.  MRA representatives will be there through out the open house to record answers and seek information.  We will be wearing our green “Save Midhurst Village” t-shirts – come talk to us if you have any questions, comments or want to provide feedback to our association.
We hope you will be able to attend any time between 6:30-9:00.  Since this is a drop-in format, there is no need to stay for the entire open house.
