Natural Resources Minister supports taking another look at options for keeping Springwater Provincial Park open, Conservative MPP Jim Wilson told the legislature this week.
And Wilson told Dale Goldhawk in an interview last week (aired Monday) that a deal may be in the works between the province and the County of Simcoe.
Wilson said in the Legislature that Orazietti recently called him. “He said he supports reopening the initiative for four options to allow the park to remain open. I look forward to these discussions in the weeks ahead…. In the meantime I urge the government to reconsider its decision and give us more time to come up with all the available options.”
“The new minister -David Orazietti of the Liberal government – has said he is open to partnerships,” Wilson told Dale Goldhawk when the radio host visited the First Nations occupiers of the park. Wilson was the only politician to attend the rally.
“We’ll be meeting soon with the County of Simcoe and the Liberal government and myself and other politicians to see if we can’t put a partnership together and perhaps sell the park to the county,” Wilson said.
