Idle No More teach-in at Ministry of Natural Resources office
Idle No More news release January 14 2013
Idle No More and other groups will meet for a teach-in on issues related to Land, Food and Water
When: Thursday January 17- from 11 am to 1 pm
Where: Outside the Ministry of Natural Resources office, 2284 Nursery Rd. Midhurst (just north of Highway 26, opposite the Springwater municipal office).
The event will start with drumming, singing and dancing.
Speakers:
· Jeff Monague will be doing a presentation on history and the Indian Act.
· Don Morgan will be speaking for AWARE Simcoe and gathering alliances.
· Les Stewart will be speaking on saving Springwater park lands.
· Richard Peters will be speaking on sovereignty.
· Elizabeth Brass Elson will be speaking on the Crown Forest Sustainability Act and Stewardship roles of First Nations
The event will end with drumming, singing, and dancing.
