by Mariane McLeod Bayshore Broadcasting January 8, 2013
Get ready to see your kids’ school outfitted with solar panels on the roof.
As many as 105 schools across the Simcoe County public school board are about to have panels installed, after the school board approved a contract with a company from Port Credit for the installations.
AMP Solar Group will own the panels and maintain them.
The School board gets a fee for the space, which might be as high as a million dollars a year.
The project still has to be approved by the Ministry of Energy.
