Chief Wallace Fox of Onion Lake First Nation in Saskatchewan tried to force his way into the locked House of Commons during question period to protest the budget implementation legislation bill, C-45.
One of the members of his group started to push his way into the chamber. The security guards pushed back. And eventually, they all stopped pushing. ‘This is what we did today, serve notice,’ Fox said after he and the others were escorted out by security. ‘We’re not going to put up with this.’ …Earlier, Fox was led into Parliament by NDP MP Charlie Angus…After a brief discussion between Fox and the Minister of Natural Resources Joe Oliver — on issues such as consultation on the environment — Oliver left. And then came the pushing.
