PENETANGUISHENE – Despite being in just his first term as a municipal politician, Penetanguishene Mayor Gerry Marshall wants to add one more title to his resumé.
Marshall is throwing his name into the mix for the position of Simcoe County deputy warden, the election for which is scheduled for Dec. 11.
He told The Mirror he has been considering taking a run at the position for quite a while.
“As you spend more time at the county, you begin to recognize how big a machine and enterprise that is – and how many impactful things can be delivered to all 16 municipalities,” he said.
