For the record, relying on the observations of several AWARE members at the September meeting of county council, we are publishing the vote on a motion proposed by Penetanguishene Mayor Gerry Marshall that would have ensured the public had a chance to view and comment on the draft modified Official Plan.
Text of motion:
“THAT  Recommendation No. CS-128-12 (Item CS 12-132) be amended by adding the following operative clause:
AND THAT staff be requested to organize two open houses before the end of October 2012, both to be scheduled on the same day, with one being held in the afternoon, and the second in the evening, for the purposes of collecting further public input on the draft Modified County of Simcoe Official Plan.”
