Council cuts market founder a break

MIDLAND – The founder of the Midland Farmers and Artisans Market is wondering why, after four successful years, some members of council are still questioning the market’s credibility.
Adriana Strimaitis addressed council Monday night to request reconsideration of a requirement for an unaudited financial statement – as well as an additional licensing fee – to run the market for the winter inside the North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Centre.
