Council to hear on Ossossane Beach issue

Tiny Council Meeting of September 24, 2012

Deputy-Mayor Lawrence chaired the meeting. Mayor Millar was absent. Deputy-Mayor Lawrence proudly announces September 22, 2012 as being the third anniversary of the stoppage of Dump Site 41.
 CAO Luker announces that lawyer, Fred Hacker, will make his presentation to council in October regarding the issue at Ossossane Beach.
Tina Newsham, representing MPAC, made a presentation to council concerning Municipal Assessment. She said that the public can find out about their property by going on-line at “About My Property.” 
Councillor Warren says that there is an appeal over property assessment on Wolfe Island, near Kingston, because of the wind turbines. Lawrence comments that people in the Shelbourne area are having trouble selling their homes because of the wind turbines in that area.
 Councillor Wishart would like to know what the County has planned for Tiny Township regarding the Green Energy Act.
