MacLean Engineering and Marketing is coming to Barrie, taking 85,000 square feet of industrial space on Bayview Drive.
The Collingwood-based mining equipment manufacturer is expanding its operations and setting up its international distribution centre in Barrie.
“This growing, dynamic firm is an industry leader and is just the latest addition to Barrie’s changing and evolving employment landscape,” said Mayor Jeff Lehman.
MacLean is holding a job fair on Saturday, Aug. 11 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Holly Community Centre, located at 171 Mapleton Ave.
“We will require talent across a variety of skill areas, including various skilled trades and support staff,” said MacLean vice-president Bob Wraight.
Job opportunities at the company will be posted on its website, macleanengineering.com.
It’s expected to be operational in Barrie this fall.
MacLean is setting up shop at 286 Bayview Dr., the former Faurecia automotive plant. It closed in 2009.
