Monday June 18: Renewed effort to make Barrie Blue

Pope John Paul II students presented a petition to Barrie City Council to urge them to have Barrie become a Blue Community. Pope John Paul II students will present to Barrie City Council on Monday, June 18 again to encourage City Hall to make Barrie the next Blue Community.
The Simcoe Regional Chapter Council of Canadians has presented to Barrie City Council to try to encourage City Hall to have Barrie become a Blue Community.

A municipality can become a Blue Community by:
-recognizing water as a human right;
-promoting publicly financed, owned and operated water and wastewater services; and
-banning the sale of bottled water in public facilities and at municipal events.

A letter sent to Barrie City Council urging the passing of a resolution to have Barrie become a Blue Community.
