Tiny Township became a Blue Community on September 12, 2011.  See http://canadians.org/blog/?p=10405
The Simcoe Region Chapter Council of Canadians asks for your support … we need your presence!
Please attend Barrie City Council meeting on Monday, March 26 beginning at 7:00 p.m. when our local chapter invites the City of Barrie to become Ontario’s next Blue Community.
The Blue Communities Project calls on communities to adopt a water commons framework by:
1. Recognizing water as a human right. 2. Promoting publicly financed, owned and operated water and wastewater services. 3. Banning the sale of bottled water in public facilities and at municipal events.
The Simcoe Region Chapter Council of Canadians and students from Pope John II school here in Barrie hope to encourage City Council to pass resolutions on the above three issues and thereby become Canada’s next Blue Community.
