Road widening cost almost triples – BWG councillor “flabbergasted”

The costs for the Dissette Street/8th Line road widening and reconstruction are in and they’re not pretty.
 According to a report prepared recently by Bradford’s manager of capital projects, Jon Morton, the Dissette/8th Line project cost an estimated $34.6 million – well above the $12 million originally expected. In his report Mr. Morton also notes that while the town has complete information on the majority of the expenditures, some of the expenses are estimates, which means the figure could yet creep slightly higher.
