Wasaga comes down on ‘converted’ residences
Town review of properties spurred after complaints last summer; two buildings torn down because of unsafe conditions

WASAGA BEACH — The town could be cracking down on tourist accommodations being used as long-term residences.
More than 200 residents living in “converted” tourist accommodations could be looking for other housing options, if the owner doesn’t obtain appropriate zoning and meet minimum safety requirements.
