About 1,600 take advantage of free ride on the GO train

Sights and sounds from another era were in the air in Allandale, Sunday. About 1,600 city and area residents got a chance to ride the rails for free as GO Metrolinx celebrated the beginning of train service from the new Allandale Waterfront GO Station, located at Gowan Street and Essa Road.
