‘The issue in our area is a shortage of land’

A land shortage in Barrie is putting the squeeze on house builders. While home starts across the province grew to nearly 68,000 units in 2011, up 12% from 2010, that wasn’t the case in Barrie, where a land shortage just doesn’t allow for that kind of growth.
