ORILLIA – Orillia is an award-winner when it comes to diverting trash, garnering industry accolades for steps it has taken to lighten the load on its municipal landfill.
Yet despite implementing a slew of programs to encourage recycling and composting, officials say a sizeable quantity of that material is being treated like garbage.
