More than 50 protesters braved the first real blast of winter Wednesday morning to bring their message of disapproval about a proposed recycling plant to Midland town hall.

MIDLAND — Only Santa gets more letters this time of year.
The 5,600-plus letters delivered to Mayor Gordon McKay on Wednesday all asked for the same thing: halt construction of a recycling facility near the Martyrs’ Shrine and Sainte-Marie Among the Hurons.
