Tom Bowes of InCourage Inc. will be the featured speaker. at the AWARE Simcoe – Site 41 Christmas gathering on Saturday November 26 at Treasures of China Buffet Restaurant in Barrie. 
All are welcome. You don’t have to be a member to attend and enjoy an interesting evening with people who want to make a difference.
Bowes will take us to the most isolated inhabited place in the world, Easter Island, and share the story of what happened on what was once a lush tropical forest. His message is about the personal leadership required so this story does not repeat itself for future generations.
With his company InCourage, Tom has been shifting mindsets by generating the courage of individuals to change and grow to give life to a new reality, one that is more sustainable for people, businesses and our biosphere.
In addition to being a speaker, Tom is a writer (he has written Our CoeurAge: Essays on Ways Our Own Courage Can Reshape a More Sustainable Future), leadership coach, world traveller, business leader, provocateur, environmental advocate, and father to three girls who have all flown the coop. Currently Tom lives with his wife in his new straw-bale home in Eden Mills, Ontario.
Cost is $13.95 for buffet meal. Start time is 6 p.m. Directions: Exit 98 on Hwy 400. Go north on Bayfield St and turn onto Coulter Street at the Travelodge. Entrance is at the back of the Canadian Tire Store in the Bayfield Mall on Bayfield Street in Barrie.
