LSRCA shoots down Leslie Drive extension
While road has met criticism, underground infrastructure work could be passed

The Leslie Drive extension could be going back to the drawing board. It appears the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority will not lend support to the project, in its current form, according to a report submitted to Innisfil council. The issue stems from provisions contained in the Lake Simcoe Protection Plan, which prevent the approval of building permits for property located within a wetland.
