Incentives to developers for cleaning up contaminated sites

The city could take steps to turn brownfields into greenfields in its downtown and Allandale areas.
A public meeting Monday concerned amendments to the city’s Official Plan and the the Downtown: Next Wave and Allandale Community Improvement plans. They would encourage development of brownfields, eventually increasing revenues for city hall.
