New Tecumseth council will not entertain any further deputations dealing with its decision to abort a public transit task force.

On June 20th New Tecumseth council dismissed the Public Transit Task force before it ever really got off the ground but only after having done the preliminary work, marketing, administration and expense required to set the thing up.

New Tecumseth council was scheduled last night to appoint members of the public to a proposed public transit task force. It did not happen.
Instead, councillors reportedly decided in camera the Town couldn’t afford to implement any of the recommendations that would establish a public transit system, and when council rose to report, voted against moving forward with proceeding with the task force.
