Your article highlighted the affordable housing crisis in Barrie and surrounding areas.
Habitat for Humanity has been working hard to solve this crisis one family at a time. Contrary to what many believe, Habitat for Humanity does not give away homes.

Joan Dorion shielded her eyes behind large opaque sunglasses as she spoke candidly about being homeless a few winters ago.
Dorion said her parents died within months of each other.
