A hydrogeological study as part of the process to expand the Parson Road Reservoir in Alliston has turned up “elevated levels of Trichloroethlene (TCE) in the groundwater samples taken at the site” according to a report prepared by the Town’s Senior Engineering Coordinator.
TCE, commonly used as an industrial solvent, is also listed as a “probable carcinogen.”
