Town interested in voucher pilot project

MIDLAND – Midland wants to be the site of a pilot project for a heavy-garbage voucher system that covers transportation costs, an issue for which council has been attempting to find a solution for several months.

In a report brought forward during Monday’s general committee meeting, staff indicated they are still awaiting direction on how to proceed on the issue. Council has spent the last few months debating how best to assist residents who are unable to get their items to the dump.
