ORILLIA – A decision to bill non-residents caught up in car accidents on Orillia soil will drive away out-of-town shoppers, warns an Oro-Medonte resident.
“They are cutting their own throats,” Fred Sare said this week. “The city needs a booster, not a shot in the foot.”

If the City of Barrie intends to charge a user fee for fire protection at accident scenes, drivers must be given the choice to opt out of the service.
