Orillia city manager says firing not a shock

ORILLIA – For the past 18 years, Ian Brown relished his role as Orillia’s city manager.
“Every day I looked forward to going to work, and I never knew what was going to happen that day,” Brown told Orillia Today.
Neither did he know that when he was called into a closed-door meeting last week, his employment with the municipality would come to an abrupt end.
