Inaugural, committee appointments

On behalf of the Township of Springwater Council, Staff and residents, Mayor Linda Collins would like to thank all who came out and joined us on the night of our Inaugural for the 2010 – 2014 Council.
The event had a great turnout, with well over 100 people in attendance to see Council take their oaths of office.
A special thank you to Springwater resident Justice James C. Crawford from the Ontario Courts of Justice in Barrie for administering the oaths, and to Reverend Audrey Brown of Midhurst United Church for blessing the ceremony.
The inaugural address paid homage to the previous Councils and Mayors. The emphasis was on the future with Council’s focus on continued teamwork and accountable representation.
Mayor Collins and Council would also like to congratulate the following individuals on their appointments to Springwater’s
Boards and Committees for the 2010 to 2014 term, and to thank all those who served during the last term.
These appointees dedicate long hours, attend countless meetings, and are some of the Township’s most valuable resources.
