Town accepting applications for new term of committee appointments

With a new term of council, comes a new round of citizen appointments to statutory committees.
New Tecumseth is seeking 29 citizens to serve on seven committees and is now accepting applications from residents or qualified ratepayers for 2011-2014.
They are:
Accessibility Advisory Committee – 6 to be appointed. Meets at 7:00 p.m. – bi-monthly, 1st Thursday. (Under the provisions of the Ontarians with Disabilities Act, a majority of the members must be persons with a disability as defined under the Act).
Cemetery Advisory Board – 4 to be appointed. Meets at least twice annually, time and date to be determined.
Heritage New Tecumseth Advisory Committee – 4 to be appointed. Meets at 7:00 p.m. – bi-monthly, 2nd Tuesday.
Committee of Adjustment – 6 to be appointed. Meets at 7:00 p.m. – monthly as required, 4th Thursday.
Museum on the Boyne – 3 to be appointed. Meets at 10:00 a.m. – bi-monthly, 4th Wednesday.
New Tecumseth Public Library Board – 5 to be appointed. Meets at 1:00 p.m. – monthly, 2nd Thursday.
Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority – 1 to be appointed. Meets at 9:00 a.m. – monthly, 2nd Friday.
