October 27: A chance to meet ECO Gord Miller

Interested individuals and representatives of non governmental organizations are invited to meet Environmental Commissioner Gord Miller.Wednesday October 27, 2010 from 6:30 pm to 9 pm at the Rotunda, City Hall – 81 MULCASTER ST, Barrie.
A FREE event ico-sponsored by Living Green Barrie, the Council of Canadians Simcoe Region Chapter and Transition Barri.e.
Schedule:
6:30 pm – mingle and meet – an opportunity to get to know each other –
have some cider or “Fair Trade” coffee. Tables will be set up to display materials from your NGO
7 pm gathering in a circle and getting to know each other through simple movement led by Marianne Else
7:15 pm Official introductions of representatives of attending NGO’s ….
7:30 pm – Gord Miller will give his address – and a brief overview of the function of his office and how he and our NGO’s can collaborate to make this a more protected, sustainable and environmentally friendly Simcoe County.
8: 15 pm or a bit more – comments, questions and answers – a lively conversation with Gord Miller, and how we can support each other as we go forward in each of our NGO’s with a new understanding of each other and Gord Miller’s office.
